Lisa graduated from Davenport University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Paralegal Studies. Having been employed at the Law Offices of Schuitmaker, Cooper, Cypher & Knotek, P.C., for the past fifteen years, Lisa has assisted in the representation of clients in major litigation cases at both State and Federal Court levels. Her experience includes numerous Michigan County Courts across Southwest Michigan, the Michigan Tax Tribunal, Federal Courts in Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the United States 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Michigan Court of Appeals.
Through her employment at Schuitmaker, Cooper, Cypher & Knotek, P.C., Lisa helped obtain 501(c)(3) charitable organization status for local charities, including Van Buren County Drug Treatment Court Foundation, Inc., Mattawan Area Pantry in Mattawan, Michigan, Paw Paw Rocket Football, Inc., Paw Paw Youth Baseball, Inc., and Paw Paw Redskin Athletic Booster Club, Inc.
Lisa was instrumental in the work she performed for an Iraq War Veteran from Hartford, Michigan that, after years of litigation in Federal Court, helped to clarify and expand upon the rights and protections of all personnel serving in the United States Military.
